Filtrete 18x24x1 Air Filter 2-Pack — MERV 12 (MPR 1500), Allergy-Friendly High Capture

These Filtrete filters combine a high MPR 1500 rating with MERV 12 performance in a convenient 2-pack sized 18x24x1, intended for routine 90-day replacement in furnaces, air conditioners and standard HVAC systems. Built with Filtrete 3-in-1 media, the filters balance particle capture and airflow, and are certified asthma and allergy-friendly to support cleaner indoor air management.

How do these filters reduce common indoor particles?

The pleated media is engineered to pull in and retain particles across a spectrum of sizes, from visible dust to many microscopic contaminants. While allowing conditioned air to pass, the electrostatically charged fibers increase capture efficiency for smaller particulates.

• High MPR 1500 rating for enhanced capture of microparticles
• MERV 12 level addresses fine dust, pet dander, smoke and pollen
• Certified asthma and allergy-friendly per testing standards

Will these filters work with my furnace or air conditioner?

Yes — the 1-inch pleated design fits most standard return-slot housings in residential furnaces, air handlers and split-system air conditioners. Measure your existing filter slot (18x24x1) before ordering to confirm fit; replace every 60–90 days for typical household use.

• Standard 18x24x1 dimensions for common HVAC return grilles
• Intended for 3-month routine replacement under normal conditions
• Works in both heating and cooling modes without impeding airflow

How does the Filtrete Smart App simplify maintenance?

The Filtrete Smart App lets you scan the barcode on the filter box to start an automated replacement countdown. Choose 30-, 60- or 90-day reminders and receive push notifications when it’s time to swap filters, which helps maintain system performance and consistent air quality.

• Barcode scan for quick filter identification and setup
• Customizable replacement intervals: 30, 60, or 90 days
• Notifications ensure timely changes and steady filtration

What specific particles can this MPR 1500 filter capture?

The MPR 1500 media targets a broad range of particles, including larger allergens and many smaller airborne contaminants. Independent laboratory testing indicates improved capture of very small particles compared to lower-rated filters, while still permitting efficient airflow.

• Effectively traps lint, household dust and pollen
• Helps reduce pet dander and some smoke particles
• Designed to capture a portion of submicron airborne particles

Who this is for: homeowners and renters who want a reliable, higher-efficiency disposable filter for routine HVAC maintenance; families with pets or seasonal allergies seeking improved indoor air quality; and anyone who values scheduled reminders to keep filters performing at peak. If you need a thicker filter or specialized filtration (e.g., true HEPA), consider alternative options, but for standard return slots and regular upkeep, this Filtrete 18x24x1 MERV 12 two-pack offers a strong balance of particle capture and system compatibility.
