Filtrete 20x24x1 Air Filter MERV 5 — 6-Pack Pleated Electrostatic, 3-Month MPR 300

Filtrete 20x24x1 MPR 300 is a six-pack of 1-inch pleated, electrostatically charged HVAC filters (actual size 19.81" x 23.81" x 0.81") designed to trap lint, household dust and larger airborne particles while maintaining airflow for your furnace or air conditioner.

These Filtrete filters use an electrostatically charged pleated media to attract and hold particles that conventional fiberglass or washable one-inch filters miss. Rated MPR 300 and MERV 5, the filters are intended for routine 90-day replacement to help keep vents and heat-exchange surfaces cleaner while preserving system efficiency. Each box contains six filters so you can keep spares on hand or service multiple units.

How does this filter capture dust and pollen?

The Filtrete media is electrostatically charged so fibers act like tiny magnets, drawing in both positively and negatively charged particles as air moves through the pleats. That design increases the filter’s ability to hold larger particles such as household dust and pollen without dramatically restricting airflow.

• Electrostatic fibers attract particles for improved retention.
• Pleated design increases surface area for more capture per pass.
• 300 MPR / MERV 5 rating targets large-particle removal.

Will these filters affect my HVAC performance or energy use?

Because the filter is a one-inch pleated design, it balances particle capture with airflow to avoid undue strain on most residential systems. Replacing a dirty filter every three months helps maintain airflow and keeps the blower and heat exchanger cleaner, which can support consistent equipment operation.

• Designed for standard 20x24x1 slots — actual dimensions 19.81" x 23.81" x 0.81".
• Regular replacement prevents buildup that can reduce system efficiency.
• Compatible with furnaces, central air conditioners and HVAC return vents.

How often should I replace each Filtrete 20x24x1 filter?

Filtrete recommends replacing this 1-inch pleated filter every 90 days under typical home conditions. Individual circumstances — pets, smokers, heavy dust, or allergy seasons — can require more frequent changes to maintain performance.

• Standard guideline: change every 3 months for typical homes.
• Change sooner if you notice visible dirt, odors, or reduced airflow.
• Use Filtrete Smart App reminders to set 30/60/90-day alerts.

What makes Filtrete different from fiberglass or washable filters?

The electrostatically charged media captures more particles than plain fiberglass or non-electrostatic washable options, especially larger allergy-aggravating particles. The pleated format gives more filtering surface in the same one-inch thickness, increasing dust-holding capacity before replacement is needed.

• Electrostatic attraction enhances capture of microparticles and dust.
• Pleated construction offers greater surface area than flat fiberglass.
• Single-inch, disposable filters avoid performance decline of washable types.

Who is this for: homeowners and renters with standard 20x24x1 filter slots who want a reliable, low-maintenance filter to reduce visible dust and common airborne particles. This six-pack is practical for multi-unit homes, seasonal stocking, or customers who prefer swapping filters every three months to maintain cleaner HVAC components and steady airflow.
