Fire-Maple Fixed Star 1 backpacking stove system — Black 1L pot, 532 ml, fast boil heat-exchange

A complete, ultralight integrated stove and 1‑liter cook pot that nests small, ignites with a built‑in piezo, and cuts boil times with advanced heat‑exchange design.

The Fire‑Maple Fixed Star 1 is a compact backpacking stove system built to save time, space and weight on trail kitchens. The set combines a hard‑anodized 1‑liter pot and an integrated burner so all cooking parts stow inside the pot for easy packing. At just 18 ounces and designed to accept most threaded isobutane/propane canisters (Coleman‑style canisters excluded), it’s optimized for solo or lightweight two‑person outings where efficiency and fast boiling matter.

How does the Fixed Star 1 speed up boiling on the trail?

The Fixed Star 1 uses a shaped heat‑exchange jacket around the pot and a low‑profile burner head to keep more heat in contact with the pot wall and reduce wind losses. That design shortens boil times compared with simple open burners, saving fuel and time when you’re cooking at camp.

• Heat‑exchange fins transfer more flame energy into the pot.
• Low center of gravity and surrounding jacket reduce convective heat loss.
• Manufacturer reports up to ~30% faster boil versus traditional backpacking stoves.

What’s included and how compact is the system for packing?

The system is built so the burner and small accessories nest inside the 1‑liter pot; the pot’s locking stainless handle and neoprene sleeve protect the finish and provide an insulated grip. Because everything fits into the pot, the entire set takes up minimal space in a pack and weighs only 18 ounces.

• Integrated burner and pot store together for a single compact unit.
• Neoprene cover insulates and protects the pot exterior in your pack.
• Stainless steel locking handle secures the pot while pouring and packing.

How do I start it and what fuel works with this stove?

The Fixed Star 1 includes a built‑in piezoelectric ignitor for reliable push‑button lighting without matches. It screws onto most standard threaded isobutane/propane canisters; note that Coleman‑style canisters are not compatible. Fuel cans are sold separately, so plan ahead for refills.

• Piezo ignitor for instant, match‑free starts.
• Compatible with most threaded backpacking fuel canisters (not Coleman style).
• Fuel canister is not included—pack appropriate gas replacements.

How durable and safe is the pot during regular use?

The pot is constructed from hard‑anodized aluminum to resist scratches and abrasion while remaining lightweight. A locking stainless handle keeps the pot secure when lifting, and the neoprene sleeve helps protect hands and limits heat transfer between pot and pack. Use a windscreen for best performance in exposed conditions.

• Hard‑anodized aluminum pot resists wear and conducts heat efficiently.
• Locking stainless handle ensures secure handling and transport.
• Neoprene insulating cover reduces heat loss and protects the pot exterior.

Who this is for: The Fire‑Maple Fixed Star 1 is intended for hikers, bikepackers and minimalists who want a reliable, fast‑boiling single‑person stove that nests into a 1‑liter pot. It’s ideal when space and weight matter but you still want an integrated cooking system with a convenient piezo ignitor and durable construction. Not suitable if you require Coleman‑compatible fuel canisters or larger multi‑person cooking setups.
