FORID Compostable Bin Bags 49.2 L 80 Count (5 Rolls) Green — ASTM-Certified, Octagon-Seal Strength, Unscented

FORID 13-gallon compostable trash bags are plant-starch-based kitchen liners designed to hold everyday household waste while breaking down in backyard or home-composting systems.

These unscented, translucent green liners come 80 per pack (5 rolls) and fit most U.S. medium-sized wastebaskets. They balance tear resistance with certified compostability, offering a lower-impact alternative to conventional plastic can liners for kitchens, bathrooms, nurseries and offices.

How strong are these bags for typical household garbage?

Each bag uses an octagon-sealed bottom to distribute load and resist splits, rated to handle heavy, mixed waste without tearing under normal use. They perform well with wet kitchen scraps and everyday disposables when tied or sealed properly.

• Octagonal bottom seal for improved load distribution
• Tested to withstand about 83 lb (38 kg) under normal conditions
• Translucent green color helps spot heavy items that could cause stress

Will these bags actually compost, and where can I dispose of them?

The material is plant-starch-based and meets ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards, meaning the bags are designed to biodegrade in industrial or home composting environments. For best results, add them to active compost systems or home piles where microorganisms and heat can break them down.

• Made from plant starch material (PSM) rather than traditional plastics
• Certified to recognized compostability standards (ASTM D6400, EN 13432)
• Suitable for backyard or home composting setups rather than curbside recycling

Do these liners fit my trash can and what sizes do they accommodate?

The 13-gallon bags measure approximately 24.8" by 31.4" and fit round bins up to 15.7" diameter and 27.4" tall, as well as rectangular bins with the longest side up to 12.4" and similar height. That makes them compatible with most standard kitchen, bathroom and office wastebaskets in U.S. homes.

• Bag dimensions: 24.8" (L) x 31.4" (W)
• Fits round bins ≤ 15.7" diameter and ≤ 27.4" height
• Also fits rectangular bins with longest side ≤ 12.4" and height ≤ 27.4"

Are these bags suitable for all room types and waste categories?

These compostable liners are multipurpose — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, nurseries and office bins where daily household refuse accumulates. Their clear green tint helps with quick content checks for sorting and recycling, but they are not intended for hazardous or industrial waste.

• Good for food scraps, diapers, general household rubbish, and recyclable sorting
• Unscented formula avoids masking odors or irritating sensitive noses
• Not for medical, chemical, or heavy industrial disposal

Who is this for? FORID compostable 13-gallon bags are aimed at households and small offices looking to reduce single-use plastic waste without sacrificing practicality. They suit eco-conscious consumers who have access to home or community composting, caretakers and parents wanting reliable, tear-resistant liners, and anyone seeking a neutral, unscented option for mixed household trash.
