Honeywell QuietSet Oscillating Tower Fan HYF260 — White, Remote Control & 5 Quiet Speeds

The Honeywell QuietSet HYF260 is a whole-room oscillating tower fan that delivers five quiet speed levels, remote control convenience, and dimmable panel lights for steady, energy-smart air circulation.

Designed to cool living rooms, bedrooms, and offices without the constant hum of a traditional fan, this Honeywell tower fan balances airflow and quiet operation. It blends a slim footprint with oscillation and timer features so you can set comfort and forget it, while pairing with your air conditioner to potentially reduce overall energy use.

How does this fan fit into my room without taking up much space?

The HYF260 uses a tall, narrow tower design that occupies minimal floor area while circulating air across a wide sweep. Its oscillation spreads airflow across a room rather than concentrating it in one spot, making it suitable for tight spaces or beside furniture.

• Compact tower silhouette for small footprints
• Oscillating head provides whole-room coverage
• Lightweight for easy placement and moving
• Slim profile fits between sofas, desks, or near beds

How quiet is the Honeywell QuietSet during use?

This model emphasizes reduced noise with engineered airflow and five QuietSet settings that let you choose lower sound at reduced speeds. It’s intended for bedrooms and other noise-sensitive spaces where you want cooling without distraction.

• Five speed options for precise balance of sound and airflow
• QuietSet technology minimizes operational noise
• Remote lets you change speeds without getting up
• Suitable for overnight use or background cooling while working

What convenience and control features does the HYF260 offer?

The HYF260 includes a full-function remote and easy touch-button controls on the unit so you can adjust settings from anywhere in the room. It also has an adjustable timer and panel dimming to reduce light distraction at night.

• Handheld remote controls speed, oscillation, and timer
• Auto-dim lights that lower brightness after 15 seconds
• Programmable shut-off timer for scheduled use
• Simple touch-pad controls on the tower for direct operation

Can this fan help lower my energy bill when used with air conditioning?

When used alongside an air conditioner, the HYF260 can improve perceived comfort by increasing air movement, allowing you to set your thermostat slightly higher. This combined approach can reduce A/C runtime and help manage household energy consumption.

• Boosts circulation so cooler air reaches more of the room
• Lets you raise thermostat settings while maintaining comfort
• Five speeds let you optimize for comfort versus energy use
• Oscillation distributes conditioned air for more even temperatures

Who is this for: The Honeywell QuietSet HYF260 is a good match for anyone wanting effective, low-noise cooling in bedrooms, home offices, or common areas where space is limited. It fits households that value remote operation, gentle lighting at night, and a fan that complements an air conditioner to help manage energy use.
