I LOVE WORMS Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae Treats 4.54 kg — High Protein (41%+) & High Calcium for Chickens

I LOVE WORMS Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae (10 lb) are a 100% natural, non-GMO high-protein, high-calcium treat formulated to safely supplement chickens and many small animals.

These dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) come from sustainably raised larvae fed on certified food waste, then dehydrated to preserve nutrients without additives or preservatives. With over 41% protein and dramatically higher calcium than mealworms, this 10-pound bag is designed for backyard flocks, poultry breeders, and mixed small-animal collections who want a concentrated, shelf-stable snack that supports egg production and general vitality. The product is veterinarian-reviewed and offers a 24-month shelf life when stored dry.

How do these larvae benefit laying hens?

The BSFL provide a nutrient-dense snack that helps hens meet protein and calcium needs outside their regular feed. Higher calcium supports eggshell formation while protein supports body condition and feather health. Offer in moderation as part of a balanced feeding plan.

• Contains over 41% protein to support muscle and feather maintenance.
• At least 85× more calcium than dried mealworms for shell strength.
• Dehydrated for long shelf life—convenient for seasonal feeding.
• Easy to portion: sprinkle or offer in treat cups for controlled intake.

Can other animals eat these dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae?

Yes—this product is appropriate for a wide variety of small and wild animals. The nutrient profile makes it a versatile treat for species that naturally eat insects, but introduce gradually and monitor digestion. Always match portion sizes to animal size and activity level.

• Suitable for chickens, ducks, wild birds, bluebirds, and woodpeckers.
• Safe for many pets like turtles, fish, hamsters, and hedgehogs as an occasional snack.
• No additives or preservatives—reduces risk of digestive upset from unknown ingredients.
• Great for wildlife feeding stations when local regulations allow.

What makes this BSFL product sustainable and safe?

I LOVE WORMS sources larvae reared on controlled food-waste substrates to lower environmental impact compared with traditional protein sources. The drying process locks in nutrients without chemical treatments. Veterinarian checks and non-GMO practices add extra assurance for conscientious keepers.

• Larvae fed on certified food waste, reducing landfill load and resource use.
• No preservatives or artificial additives; simply dried for preservation.
• Professionally reviewed for safety and animal suitability.
• Packaging and shelf life designed for practical, long-term storage.

How should I store and serve these larvae?

Keep the product in a cool, dry place away from moisture to maintain crunch and nutrient quality. Serve as an occasional treat, not a complete feed—use treat cups or sprinkle over regular feed to prevent overeating. A recommended practice is to monitor consumption to maintain balanced nutrition.

• Store in a dry area; reseal packaging after each use to avoid humidity.
• Use small treat dishes or scatter sparingly to control portions.
• Shelf life: up to 24 months when stored properly.
• Contact customer support for any product questions or handling tips.
