J-B Weld Exhaust repair wrap 2" x 72" White — heat-resistant to 593 °C, sets in ~20 minutes

J-B Weld ExhaustWeld 2" x 72" is a fiberglass repair wrap pre-impregnated with heat-curing resin for durable, high-temperature repairs on exhaust components.

When an exhaust pipe, muffler or manifold develops a crack or leak, you need a repair that withstands intense heat and vibration. This 2" x 72" white repair wrap from J-B Weld combines woven fiberglass with a specially formulated resin that bonds to metal surfaces and resists temperatures up to 1100°F once fully cured. It can be used quickly with heat from the engine or a heat gun, or allowed to cure at ambient temperature for a reliable seal on the full exhaust system.

How quickly does the ExhaustWeld wrap set and fully cure?

The wrap begins to set within about 20 minutes and reaches full cure faster when heat is applied. Running the engine or using a heat gun accelerates the chemical reaction in the resin, producing a dependable repair in minutes; without added heat, the wrap still sets in around 20 minutes and cures within roughly two hours.

• Sets in ~20 minutes with or without heat
• Full cure in about 2 hours at ambient temperatures
• Faster cure when exposed to exhaust heat or a heat gun

Can this wrap handle the high temperatures of an exhaust system?

Yes — after it fully cures the fiberglass and resin matrix resists extreme temperatures typical of exhaust components. The product is engineered to remain stable up to 1100°F, making it suitable for direct contact with manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers and tailpipes where heat and oxidation are concerns.

• Temperature tolerance up to 1100°F once cured
• Stable under continuous heat exposure and thermal cycling
• Designed for use across the entire exhaust system

Which types of exhaust damage can ExhaustWeld repair?

The wrap addresses a range of common exhaust problems including small cracks, pinholes, and seam leaks. It conforms to irregular shapes and fills gaps when tightly wrapped and compressed, providing a mechanical bond and a heat-resistant barrier to reduce leaks and noise until more extensive service can be performed.

• Seals small cracks and pinholes
• Reinforces seams and joints on pipes and mufflers
• Conforms to curved and irregular surfaces for a close fit

How do you apply the J-B Weld ExhaustWeld repair wrap?

Surface prep and tight wrapping are the keys: clean away loose rust, oil and debris, cut the wrap to length, and wrap it tightly around the damaged area. The resin is already impregnated, so after compression the wrap sets; heat will accelerate curing but is not required.

• Clean surface of contaminants and loose scale
• Wrap tightly with overlapping turns and compress firmly
• Apply heat (engine run or heat gun) to speed curing if desired

Who this is for: This 2" x 72" ExhaustWeld repair wrap is aimed at DIY mechanics, professional technicians, and vehicle owners needing a fast, heat-resistant temporary or semi-permanent exhaust repair. It suits anyone repairing cars, trucks, ATVs or industrial equipment who wants a compact, easy-to-carry solution that tolerates high exhaust temperatures and can be installed with basic tools and minimal downtime.
