J-B Weld Light-Activated Superglue 5g 2-Pack, Clear Fast-Curing with Blue LED, 2800 PSI

J-B Weld SuperWeld Light-Activated Superglue is a clear, fast-curing adhesive that locks in strong bonds in seconds when exposed to the included blue light.

Designed for quick repairs, model-making, crafts, and precise assembly work, this 2-pack of 5 g tubes delivers a clear, gap-filling adhesive that cures instantly with a blue LED. The formulation gives you a high-tensile bond (about 2800 PSI) that can also set without light—useful when light access is limited. Each tube has a precision tip applicator for controlled placement and the kit includes the activating blue light so you can cure small or detailed joints in roughly five to ten seconds.

How does the light-activated curing work?

Apply a thin bead of glue to one surface, mate the parts, and expose the adhesive to the included blue LED to trigger polymerization. The blue light accelerates the reaction so the bond goes from wet to fully cured in seconds for many materials, giving immediate handling strength.

• Included blue LED cures the glue fast—typically 5–10 seconds.
• Works best with thin, even glue layers for rapid penetration of light.
• Can be used where rapid set times prevent movement or repositioning errors.

What materials can it bond and when should I avoid it?

This superglue bonds a wide range of substrates such as plastics, metals, ceramics, rubber, wood, and many composites. However, it performs best on clean, dry surfaces and may struggle on very oily, heavily textured, or flexible substrates without proper surface prep or primer.

• Ideal for plastics, metals, glass, ceramics, wood, and composite parts.
• Not recommended for long, bending joints without reinforcement or for highly porous materials without multiple applications.
• Surface prep: clean, degrease, and roughen glossy areas for stronger adhesion.

How quickly and how strong is the bond?

When activated with the included blue light, the adhesive reaches handling strength in seconds and cures fully in a short time for many applications. Without light, the glue will set in about one minute and reach full cure in roughly 24 hours; with light, it achieves immediate strength and an ultimate tensile strength around 2800 PSI under ideal conditions.

• Light cure: handling strength in ~5–10 seconds, rapid workflow for small repairs.
• No-light cure: sets in ~1 minute, full cure in ~24 hours for convenience when light access is limited.
• Tensile strength approximately 2800 PSI when fully cured under recommended conditions.

How do I apply and store this adhesive safely?

Use the precision applicator tip to deposit a small amount of glue where needed—less is more with cyanoacrylate adhesives. Mate the parts, then shine the blue light across the joint to cure. Store tubes tightly capped in a cool, dry place; avoid humidity and prolonged heat exposure to preserve shelf life.

• Apply sparingly with the precision tip to avoid excess squeeze-out.
• Cure with the included blue LED for immediate results; ventilate the area during use.
• Seal caps after use and store away from high humidity and direct heat.

Who is this for: Hobbyists, model builders, DIY repairers, electronics tinkerers, and anyone needing a dependable, clear instant adhesive for small parts and fast fixes. The SuperWeld Light-Activated kit is particularly helpful when you need immediate bond strength for assembly or repair tasks, or when working on delicate items where control and fast cure times reduce risk of misalignment. If you require structural bonding for large load-bearing applications, consider mechanical fastening or a structural epoxy designed for those loads.
