KLEIN TOOLS MM325 Digital Multimeter 600V AC/DC Manual-Ranging — Backlit LCD, Lead-Alert LEDs

The Klein Tools MM325 is a rugged, manual-ranging digital multimeter that measures AC/DC voltage up to 600V, DC current, resistance, continuity, diodes and battery condition for professional electrical troubleshooting.

The MM325 combines electrician-driven design with durable construction to deliver a portable tester for general-purpose electrical work. Built from field feedback, this meter balances essential measurement functions, on-device conveniences like lead storage and a kickstand, plus safety-minded features such as lead-alert LEDs and CAT-rated test lead protection. It’s compact enough for a tool bag but robust enough to tolerate daily jobsite use.

How does the MM325 simplify common diagnostic tasks?

This meter provides the core readings most electricians need on a daily basis: AC/DC voltage, DC current, and resistance, plus dedicated continuity, diode and battery tests. Manual-ranging operation lets users select ranges to focus on the expected values, improving response speed in typical field scenarios.

• 600V AC/DC range for residential and light-commercial circuits
• 10A DC current range for basic current checks
• 2 MΩ resistance for circuit and component troubleshooting
• Dedicated continuity and diode modes for quick component verification

What convenience and safety features are included?

Klein added practical touches that make the MM325 easier and safer to use under real conditions. LED lead-alerts indicate correct test lead placement, and the back includes test lead holders so leads stay secure between measurements. The meter ships with CAT-rated safety caps on the leads and includes two AAA batteries, so it’s ready to work out of the box.

• Lead-alert LEDs to confirm proper lead connection and reduce user error
• Back-mounted lead holders, kickstand and optional magnetic hanger compatibility
• Includes test leads with CAT III/CAT IV safety caps and batteries

How readable and durable is the display and housing?

The MM325 uses a backlit LCD for clear readings in low-light spaces such as basements, closets or inside panels. Its mechanical design withstands drops up to 2 meters, so it endures the bumps and falls common on jobsites. These qualities help the tool remain reliable across many service cycles.

• Backlit LCD improves visibility in dim environments
• Durable construction tested to a 6.6-foot (2 m) drop
• Engineered for basic and controlled electromagnetic environments

What comes in the box and how is the MM325 packaged for work?

The package includes everything needed for immediate use: the multimeter, test leads with safety caps, instructions and 2 x AAA batteries. Designers also incorporated storage features on the meter itself so leads and accessories stay organized between jobs.

• Multimeter with integrated test lead holders and kickstand
• Test leads with CAT III/CAT IV safety caps for added protection
• Instructions and 2 AAA batteries included for instant operation

Who is this for? Electricians, maintenance techs, HVAC installers, and serious DIYers who need a straightforward, electrician-designed multimeter will find the Klein Tools MM325 practical and dependable. It’s tailored for residential, business and light-industrial environments where core electrical measurements and quick troubleshooting are required without excess complexity. If you want a field-ready manual-ranging meter from a long-established toolmaker that emphasizes durability and ease of use, the MM325 is a solid choice.
