Kohler Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat — White, Soft-Close Quiet Lid with Grip-Tight Installation

This Kohler toilet seat pairs practical engineering with everyday comfort: a gentle Quiet-Close lid that prevents slamming, contoured seating for better comfort, and above-bowl Grip-Tight hardware that makes installation fast and tool-friendly. The color-matched hinges and smooth plastic finish create a tidy, low-maintenance look that fits most elongated toilets, making it a simple upgrade for bathrooms in apartments, homes, or rental properties.

How does the ReadyLatch hinge simplify cleaning and maintenance?

The ReadyLatch hinge releases the seat with a quick touch so you can lift it away for thorough cleaning, then clicks securely back into place. You don’t need to remove bolts from under the bowl, and reattachment is straightforward when you’re finished.

• One-touch latch unlocks for full-seat removal
• Positive lock secures seat firmly when reinstalled
• Tool-free removal for easier access to bowl edges and hinge area

What makes Grip-Tight installation faster than standard toilet seat fittings?

Grip-Tight hardware fastens from above the bowl, eliminating the need to reach under the toilet during installation. With just a screwdriver you can tighten the mount and position the seat, making setup quicker for DIYers and maintenance staff alike.

• Above-bowl fastening avoids awkward under-bowl access
• Compatible with standard screwdrivers for quick installation
• Bumpers lock the seat in place to prevent shifting during use

Will the Quiet-Close feature and contoured design improve everyday comfort?

The Quiet-Close mechanism gently lowers both lid and seat, preventing loud slams and reducing wear on the hinges. The contoured seat surface provides a more comfortable profile than flat seats, improving the feeling of support during everyday use.

• Slow-close action reduces noise and prolongs hinge life
• Contoured shape enhances sitting comfort and alignment
• Durable plastic resists staining and wipes clean easily

Does this seat fit my toilet and what are return considerations?

The Cachet ReadyLatch seat is designed to fit most elongated toilet bowls and includes color-matched plastic hinges for a consistent look. Note that Kohler does not accept returns for toilet seats that are opened or removed from their original packaging, so confirm fit before unboxing.

• Fits most elongated toilet shapes—measure if unsure
• Color-matched hinges create a coordinated appearance
• Seats are non-returnable to Kohler if opened or outside packaging

Who is this for: Homeowners, apartment managers, property renovators, and anyone who wants a quiet, easy-to-clean, and stable elongated toilet seat that installs from above the bowl. It’s especially useful when you need fast, reliable installation and low-maintenance cleaning without sacrificing everyday comfort or a neat aesthetic.
