How does this food help my dog feel full on fewer calories?

The recipe uses a special blend of fibers and hearty grains that slow digestion and promote satiety so your dog stays satisfied after smaller meals. High-protein ingredients like chicken meal and salmon meal provide concentrated nutrition without excess volume. L-carnitine is included at targeted levels to support lean body composition while reducing overall calorie density.

• Chicken meal and salmon meal as primary protein sources
• Peas, oat groats and barley for bulk fiber and sustained fullness
• Targeted L-carnitine for lean muscle support during calorie reduction
• Formulated to lower calories per cup while maintaining flavor

What are the key ingredients and why do they matter?

Chicken meal is the first ingredient, supplying concentrated protein and essential amino acids for muscle maintenance. Salmon meal adds additional animal protein plus flavor, while barley and oat groats contribute digestible complex carbohydrates and fiber. Vitamins, minerals and antioxidant guarantees help support overall health and immune function.

• Chicken meal: concentrated protein source
• Salmon meal: complementary protein and taste
• Barley, oat groats, peas: fiber and steady energy
• Added vitamins, minerals and antioxidants for nutritional balance

Is this formula safe and how can I verify quality?

Natural Balance tests every production batch through its Feed with Confidence program to ensure safety and consistency. Bags can be validated online or by contacting the customer care team, which includes Registered Veterinary Technicians. The company maintains ingredient transparency and quality control measures across sourcing and production.

• Batch testing from start to finish under Feed with Confidence
• Online bag validation and Customer Care support available
• Reduced ingredient complexity without sacrificing nutrition

How should I transition my dog to this reduced-calorie diet?

Introduce the new food gradually over 7–10 days, mixing increasing proportions each day until the switch is complete. Monitor weight and body condition, and adjust portion sizes according to your dog’s activity level and target weight. Consult your veterinarian for personalized feeding plans and to confirm this formula fits your dog's health needs.

• Start with a 10% new food mix on day 1, increasing daily
• Weigh and check body condition weekly during transition
• Adjust portions to reach and maintain target weight
