NORTHWEST ENTERPRISES Ultrasonic Carburetor Cleaning Solution, 3.79 L — Concentrated Machine-Grade, Metal-Safe

This one-gallon ultrasonic cleaner solution was formulated for professional and hobbyist use to restore complex parts without scrubbing. When combined with an ultrasonic tank, the fluid helps lift embedded deposits from tight passages, blind holes, and delicate components found in automotive carburetors, motorcycle carbs, valves, rockers, and other engine hardware. It’s engineered to work quickly while remaining compatible with a wide range of non-plated metals.

How does this solution work with an ultrasonic cleaner?

The solution is concentrated to maximize cavitation effects produced by ultrasonic transducers. Microscopic vapor bubbles form and implode against immersed surfaces, dislodging contaminants from areas unreachable by brushes or sprays. That mechanical action cleans crevices and internal passages without aggressive manual abrasion.

• Formulated for high cavitation activity with common ultrasonic units
• Penetrates blind holes, jets, and passageways
• Reduces need for repeated scrubbing or disassembly

Is it safe for the metals used in carburetors and engine parts?

This cleaner is designed to be metal-safe for many common alloys found in small engines and automotive components. It avoids harsh ingredients such as borates, phenols, nitrates, and certain listed toxicants, lowering the risk of surface attack on compatible metals when used as directed. Always test on an inconspicuous area if unsure, and follow manufacturer dilution and soak-time guidelines.

• Suitable for aluminum, brass, copper, cast iron, and many alloys
• Free of borates, phenols, nitrates, and listed SARA/EPA substances
• Recommended to rinse and dry parts after cleaning to prevent residue

How quickly will parts be restored and what parts benefit most?

Cleaning times vary with contamination level and ultrasonic power, but many parts show visible improvement after a single short cycle. The solution excels on carburetor bodies, jets, valves, heads, rockers, and small hardware where varnish and carbon restrict flow. Repeated cycles or agitation can accelerate removal on heavily fouled items.

• Typical cycles: minutes to an hour depending on soil level and machine
• Best for carburetor assemblies, small engine components, and fittings
• Safe for coins and non-plated metal items per product guidance

What practical steps ensure safe, effective use?

For reliable results, dilute according to tank volume and manufacturer instructions, pre-rinse heavily soiled components if needed, and operate the ultrasonic unit with proper temperature settings. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse parts in clean water and dry them completely to avoid spotting or oxidation. Store the concentrate in a cool, closed container away from direct heat.

• Measure dilution accurately for consistent performance
• Rinse and air- or blow-dry parts after processing
• Follow local disposal rules for used cleaning baths
