Orbit Programmable Digital Hose Watering Timer - 1 Outlet, Battery-Powered with LCD & Rain Delay

The Orbit Programmable Digital Hose Watering Timer is a single-outlet, battery-powered controller that automates outdoor faucet watering with an easy LCD interface and built-in rain delay.

Set up the Orbit 62061 to replace manual watering at a single spigot and create repeatable schedules for lawns, flower beds, container gardens, or drip lines. The unit’s simple dial and LCD let you select start times, frequency and run duration while the rain-delay option pauses scheduled cycles when it rains. Designed for outdoor use, the water-resistant housing and six-year limited warranty make it a practical addition for homeowners who want consistent irrigation without constant oversight.

How do I program start times and watering duration?

Programming uses a single rotary dial and the LCD to step through clock setting, start time, frequency and run length. Most users can complete a basic schedule in under a minute, and a manual “run” button lets you override programs when needed.

• Set the current time, then choose one or more start times.
• Pick watering frequency (every day, every n days, or specific days).
• Specify duration from minutes to hours for each cycle.
• Use the manual button to start or pause an active program.

What water-saving features does this timer include?

The Orbit timer helps conserve water by delivering measured run times and by pausing schedules during wet weather. The built-in rain delay temporarily suspends cycles for 24, 48, or 72 hours so natural rainfall can meet irrigation needs.

• Precise run times prevent overwatering common with manual hose use.
• Rain delay option suspends watering for set hours.
• Repeatable schedules reduce wasted water from forgotten hoses.
• Battery operation avoids the need for power lines at the faucet.

How durable and weather-resistant is the unit for outdoor use?

Built with a water-resistant design for outdoor faucets, the timer stands up to regular garden conditions when mounted correctly. The housing protects electronic components from typical moisture and splash exposure, and Orbit backs the product with a six-year limited warranty.

• Water-resistant casing suitable for patio and yard faucets.
• Battery-powered for reliable operation without electrical hookups.
• Simple mounting and hose-thread connections for quick installation.
• Manufacturer warranty supports long-term use.
