How do I install the No Tools blackout shade?

Installation takes only minutes and requires no tools: measure, trim if needed, remove the backing, and press the shade into place. Use the included clips to adjust height; the adhesive holds the shade flat against your window frame for a clean, finished look.

• Trim width with a utility knife to fit smaller windows
• Peel adhesive backing and align top edge to window trim
• Press firmly along adhesive strip to secure
• Use supplied clips to raise and lower shade as needed

Will this shade really block streetlight and glare?

The pleated blackout material is engineered to remove the majority of visible light, significantly reducing glare and external light sources. While exact performance varies by window size and seams, these shades are effective at creating a darkened environment for sleeping and media viewing.

• Blocks up to 99% of incoming light under typical conditions
• Overlapping multiple shades works for wider windows
• Pleated edges create a tight closure that minimizes gaps
• Layerable behind curtains or blinds for added darkness

Are these shades safe and child-friendly?

Yes—Redi Shade Original blackout pleated paper shades are cordless for a tidy appearance and to eliminate cord hazards. The shades raise and lower using the included clips, and the paper construction avoids stiff plastic parts that can become brittle in sun-exposed settings.

• Cordless operation reduces entanglement risk for children
• Durable paper resists cracking from sun exposure
• Lightweight design is easy to remove and replace as needed
• No metal brackets or exposed hardware required for install

How do I size and trim the shade for my window?

Measure the inside width of your window; if it’s under 36", trim the shade to fit using a straightedge and a utility knife. For windows wider than a single shade, overlap two or more panels and seal the seam for continuous coverage.

• Measure window width before trimming
• Trim along pleat lines to maintain a neat edge
• Overlap multiple shades for extra-wide windows
• Follow adhesive alignment for a flush fit against trim
