Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate 29–38.5" Pressure-Mount Walk-Through Gate, 30" High, Includes Extension

The Regalo Safety 29–38.5" Easy Step Baby Gate is an extra-wide, pressure-mount walk-through gate that secures doorways and the bottom of stairs for babies and small pets.

Made by a family-owned, U.S.-based brand with more than three decades of child-safety experience, this gate balances dependable construction with everyday convenience. It is Baby Safety Alliance certified and designed for simple installation in openings between 29 and 38.5 inches wide, providing a 30-inch-high barrier that helps keep curious toddlers and small-to-medium pets out of off-limits areas.

How does this gate install and stay in place?

The gate uses a pressure-mount system for tool-free setup, which makes it easy to install and remove when needed. For secure placement and to meet the manufacturer’s guidance, wall cups are required to stabilize the gate and prevent movement during normal use.

• Pressure-mounted frame for tool-free installation
• Includes wall cups to keep the gate anchored
• Follow manufacturer instructions closely for safe use

What openings and spaces does the gate fit?

This model adjusts to cover a range of common openings—perfect for wider doorways, hallways, and the bottom of stairs. It expands to fit 29–38.5 inches; note there’s a gap range where it won’t fit without extensions.

• Fits openings 29–32" without extensions
• Fits 35.5–38.5" using the included 6" extension
• Does not fit openings between 32–35.5" without additional parts

How does the walk-through door and locking work for daily use?

The Easy Step gate features a walk-through door with a child-resistant lock designed for adult convenience and reliable closure. The latch system lets caregivers pass through quickly while keeping the barrier secure for little ones and pets.

• Walk-through door for hands-free entry and exit
• Secure safety locking mechanism to deter toddlers
• Works for both children (6–24 months) and small to medium pets

Are there safety limits or usage warnings I should know?

Yes—this gate is intended for use at doorways and the bottom of stairs only; it must never be used at the top of stairs where a fall hazard exists. Always follow the included installation instructions and use the wall cups provided to maintain stability.

• Not for use at the top of stairs—fall risk
• Install per manufacturer instructions and use wall cups
• Recommended for ages 6–24 months and appropriate pet sizes
