Twelve South AirFly Pro Bluetooth Audio Transmitter White — aptX Low Latency, 25+ Hour Battery

The Twelve South AirFly Pro is a compact Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter and receiver that converts any 3.5mm audio jack into a wireless source for AirPods, Bluetooth headphones, or speakers.

Slip the AirFly Pro into an airplane seat, gym machine, TV, or rental car to remove tangled cords and enjoy modern wireless listening with legacy audio jacks. Its dual transmit/receive modes, support for aptX Low Latency and aptX codecs, and a long-lasting battery make it a versatile bridge between old-school hardware and current Bluetooth gear.

How does the AirFly Pro let me use wireless headphones on in-flight entertainment?

In transmit mode the AirFly Pro pairs with your Bluetooth earbuds and plugs into a plane or train's 3.5mm audio outlet. It sends the audio wirelessly to your headphones so you can listen without adapters or cords while keeping your headset charged.

• Plug-and-play connection to 3.5mm airline/seat jacks
• Bluetooth 5.0 for more reliable pairing and range
• aptX Low Latency support to reduce lip-sync lag
• Over 25 hours of battery life for multi-flight use

Can the AirFly Pro connect non-Bluetooth speakers to phones or tablets?

Yes — switch the AirFly Pro to receive mode to accept Bluetooth from a phone, tablet, or laptop and output to wired speakers, car stereos, or soundbars via a 3.5mm cable. This turns older audio systems into wireless-ready devices without replacing hardware.

• Receives Bluetooth audio and outputs through a 3.5mm jack
• Works with wired speakers, car stereos, and rental audio systems
• Maintains codec compatibility for clearer sound
• Compact form fits into tight connection points

What audio quality and latency can I expect for gaming or movies?

The AirFly Pro supports aptX Low Latency and aptX codecs along with SBC, which helps preserve audio fidelity and cut delay when paired with compatible headphones. For the best sync between picture and sound, use devices that support aptX Low Latency on both ends.

• aptX Low Latency for reduced audio lag in gaming and video
• aptX and SBC codecs for improved sound over basic Bluetooth
• Bluetooth 5.0 improves connection stability and range
• Works with AirPods and most Bluetooth earbud/headphone models

How long does the battery last and can I use it while charging?

The built-in battery delivers more than 25 hours of playback on a single charge, suitable for long flights or extended workouts. You can also use the AirFly Pro while it’s charging via the included USB-C cable, so audio continues without interruption.

• 25+ hours battery life for multi-day use
• USB-C charging for faster, modern power delivery
• Operable during charging to avoid downtime
• Included travel pouch and keychain holder for portability
