Under Armour Football Mouthguard Air Lip Guard — Instant-Fit, Braces-Friendly, Large Breathing Channel

The Under Armour Air Lip Guard is a full-coverage football mouthguard that shields lips and teeth while maximizing airflow and fitting instantly without boiling.

Engineered for football players who need dependable protection and easy breathing, the Air Lip Guard combines a lip shield, integrated bite pad and a large breathing channel in a single instant-fit design. It fits adults and youth, works with or without the included strap, and accommodates braces so athletes can play without removing orthodontic hardware. Made from BPA- and latex-free materials and featuring Under Armour’s impact-absorbing Bite Flex elements, this mouthpiece balances safety, comfort and in-game practicality.

How does the Air Lip Guard protect my mouth during football?

The guard covers both upper and lower lips and positions a cushioned bite pad to reduce transmitted impact forces. The lip shield is shaped to disperse hits away from soft tissue while the core materials absorb and dissipate energy.

• Full lip coverage plus integrated bite pad for shock absorption
• Bite Flex technology reduces force transfer to teeth
• Durable construction for repeated game use

Will this mouthguard be comfortable for players with braces?

The Air Lip Guard is designed to allow room for orthodontic appliances, so players can keep braces on while using the guard. The instant-fit low-profile bite pads reduce pressure points and minimize rubbing against brackets.

• Orthodontic-compatible channel keeps braces protected
• No boil-and-bite molding reduces the risk of bracket interference
• Low-profile bite pads improve comfort for extended wear

Do I need to mold this mouthguard before playing?

No molding is required—the Air Lip Guard uses an instant-fit design that provides a secure feel straight from the package. That makes it convenient for teams, quick substitutions and players who prefer no-heat setup.

• Ready-to-wear instant fit saves time before practice or game
• Low-profile bite pads maintain position without molding
• Optional strap attaches for helmet use or can be removed

How does the breathing channel affect performance on the field?

A large, unobstructed breathing channel helps players maintain airflow during intense play, reducing the feeling of restricted breathing common with some bulkier mouthpieces. The design supports easy vocalization for play-calling and quick recovery between plays.

• Wide airflow channel for better oxygen intake during exertion
• Allows clearer communication and calling signals on the field
• Helps reduce breathing fatigue during long practices or games

Who is this for: The Under Armour Air Lip Guard is aimed at youth and adult football players who want comprehensive lip and dental protection without the hassle of molding. It’s a practical choice for athletes wearing braces, for teams needing quick-to-deploy mouthguards, and for players who prioritize airflow and comfort while competing. Use it with the included strap for helmet attachment or wear it strapless—either way, it provides a user-friendly, BPA- and latex-free option for game-day protection.
