DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer — Foldable 3-Axis, Built-In Light & Mic

The DJI Osmo Mobile 8 is a foldable 3-axis smartphone gimbal that combines stabilized footage with native tracking, built-in lighting and audio reception for comfortable all-day phone filming.

Compact yet feature-rich, the Osmo Mobile 8 is designed to turn a phone into a more capable video rig without adding bulk. It folds for travel, unfolds into a full-featured stabilizer with a telescoping extension rod and tripod, and integrates intelligent tracking and capture tools to speed setup and improve results whether you’re vlogging, live-streaming, or recording family moments.

How does the Osmo Mobile 8 keep footage smooth while I move?

It uses a robust three-axis gimbal system that compensates for hand shake and walking motion, producing more cinematic, stable shots than handheld filming alone. Smooth pan, tilt, and roll control lets you follow action or maintain a steady frame while moving through a scene.

• Precision 3-axis stabilization for reduced blur and jitter
• 360° horizontal rotation for immersive panoramic moves
• Intelligent motion tracking to keep subjects centered

What built-in tools improve audio and lighting when filming?

The Osmo Mobile 8 integrates audio reception and an LED light module so your recordings are clearer and better exposed without carrying extra accessories. These on-device tools reduce set-up time and are especially useful for quick interviews, night scenes, or indoor vlogging.

• Native audio reception improves clarity for dialogue and live streams
• Integrated adjustable lighting for consistent exposure in low light
• One combined module avoids separate lights or mics for lighter travel weight

Can I use the Osmo Mobile 8 for group shots, low angles, and selfies?

Yes — the gimbal includes a built-in extension rod and a tripod base so you can capture group selfies, low-angle perspectives, or hands-free footage. The comfortable grip reduces wrist fatigue, and the extension features make it easy to switch between handheld and static setups.

• Built-in extension rod for wider group framing and overhead views
• Fold-out tripod for stable low-angle or time-lapse shots
• Ergonomic handle supports extended shooting sessions

How long will the battery last and can it charge my phone while recording?

The internal battery provides up to about 10 hours of runtime depending on usage, which covers most day-long shoots and events. The Osmo Mobile 8 can also deliver power to your phone while filming, extending recording time during long streams or travel days.

• Up to 10-hour battery life for extended sessions
• Pass-through phone charging to maintain device power during use
• Energy-efficient design balances stabilization and accessory power needs

Who is this for? The DJI Osmo Mobile 8 is ideal for content creators, travelers, parents, and live streamers who want professional-feeling phone footage without a complex rig. If you need a compact, travel-ready stabilizer with integrated lighting and audio, plus intuitive tracking and quick editing tools, this gimbal delivers a balanced mix of portability and capability.
