KESPEN WINDOW FILMS One-Way Privacy Window Film Tint — Black, 35.4in x 2 m, Static-Cling UV & Heat Reduction

KESPEN Window Privacy Film One Way Static Cling Tint is a black, non-adhesive reflective window film that provides daytime privacy, UV reduction, glare control, and easier temperature regulation for single-pane glass.

This one-way mirror-style window film creates privacy during daylight hours by reflecting exterior light while allowing you to see out. It’s a static-cling product that installs without adhesive, minimizing mess and leaving no residue when removed. With a visible light transmission (VLT) of about 12%, it balances view preservation with significant glare reduction, and it helps block infrared and ultraviolet rays that can fade furnishings.

How does this film deliver daytime privacy without permanent adhesive?

The film uses static cling to adhere to smooth glass surfaces, forming a reflective surface on the exterior side during brighter outdoor conditions. Because it relies on light contrast (brighter outside than inside), privacy is strongest in daytime and fades if interior lighting becomes brighter than outside.

• Static-cling construction — sticks without glue for residue-free removal.
• One-way reflective finish — mirrors the exterior when outside light is stronger.
• Best for single-pane, clear glass; not recommended for double-pane or textured glass.

What levels of UV, glare, and heat reduction can I expect?

This KESPEN film blocks a substantial portion of UV and infrared energy to protect interiors and reduce glare. It reduces fading risk for fabrics and furniture and can lower the solar heat entering through the glass, helping interior surfaces stay cooler.

• Approx. 90% UV blockage to limit fading from sunlight exposure.
• About 82% infrared (heat) reflection to reduce solar heat gain.
• 12% visible light transmission—reduces glare while maintaining outward view.

How easy is the installation and later removal process?

Installation is designed to be approachable for DIYers: the film requires no adhesive and is applied wet so you can reposition it during setup. Removal is straightforward because there’s no glue; the film peels off without leaving sticky residue if installed and stored correctly.

• Use plenty of water and a spray bottle to wet glass and film for positioning.
• Trim to size with a sharp blade and squeegee out bubbles toward edges.
• Peels cleanly from smooth glass surfaces when you want to take it down.

Where can I safely use this film, and what should I avoid?

The film is suitable for many indoor glazing applications as long as the glass is flat and clean. It should not be used on insulated double-pane windows, frosted or textured glass, curved panes, or cut/etched glass where contact or trapped moisture could cause damage.

• Ideal for bedroom, living room, bathroom, sliding doors, office windows, and balcony doors.
• Not recommended for double-paned or laminated windows or curved glass.
• Clean glass and edges thoroughly before applying to prevent bubbles and peeling.

Who is this for: KESPEN Window Privacy Film suits homeowners, renters, and small-business owners who want a temporary, non-destructive privacy solution that also reduces UV exposure, glare, and solar heat. It’s especially useful for rooms with large single-pane windows or sliding doors where daytime privacy and reduced glare are priorities, but users should plan for alternative coverings (curtains or blinds) for privacy at night when interior lighting is brighter than outdoors.
