Locksworth 8-Sheet Micro-Cut Shredder — P-4 Security, 15.1 L Clear Bin, Credit Card & Staple Safe

Locksworth 8-Sheet Micro Cut Shredder is a compact home-office machine that converts paper, credit cards, staples, and clips into P-4 level micro-cut particles for secure everyday disposal.

This lightweight, small-commercial shredder fits under a desk while delivering tighter security than strip-cut units. It accepts up to eight sheets at once and produces micro-cut particles (about 4 x 12 mm), reducing the risk of reconstructed documents. The unit combines a transparent 4-gallon waste bin for quick monitoring with safety features and a user-friendly control set, making it a practical choice for households, home offices, and small businesses handling routine confidential waste.

How much paper and media can this shredder handle per pass?

The Locksworth shredder accepts up to eight standard sheets at a time and is rated to destroy small media like credit cards, staples, and paper clips. It’s designed for light to moderate daily use rather than heavy continuous industrial shredding.

• Capacity: up to 8 standard sheets per pass
• Also shreds: credit cards and small metal fasteners
• Ideal for: receipts, bills, bank statements, and personal documents

What level of security does the micro-cut provide?

This model meets P-4 security standards, producing micro-cut pieces roughly 4 x 12 mm in size. Those smaller particles are much harder to reassemble than strip-cut shreds, offering improved protection for personal data and sensitive information.

• P-4 micro-cut particle size for greater privacy
• Reduces the chance of document reconstruction
• Suitable for confidential household and small-office paperwork

How does the unit manage overheating and jams?

The shredder can run continuously for two minutes before a mandatory cooling interval to prevent motor strain. A manual reverse function clears jams and helps dislodge scraps, while a design that brushes the blades keeps cutting smooth and consistent.

• 2-minute continuous runtime then cool-down to protect the motor
• Reverse function clears paper jams quickly
• Blade-sweeping action reduces buildup and maintains performance

What safety and convenience features are included for daily use?

Safety is addressed through an automatic shutoff that halts blade movement if the lid is removed, resuming only when the shredder is correctly reassembled. The 4-gallon bin has a transparent window for easy monitoring, while auto start/stop and a compact footprint make operation effortless.

• Auto shutoff when lid is removed for child and pet safety
• 4-gallon waste bin with clear window to check fill level
• Auto start/stop plus manual reverse for simple operation

Who is this for: The Locksworth 8-Sheet Micro Cut Shredder suits home users, remote workers, and small-business owners who need reliable, higher-than-strip security without a large-capacity industrial machine. It fits tight spaces, handles everyday confidential paperwork and small media, and adds safety features that make it appropriate for family homes and shared office areas. If you dispose of bank statements, credit card offers, or any documents with personal data, this compact micro-cut shredder offers a practical balance of security, convenience, and budget-friendly operation.
