Lodge 12-inch Tempered Glass Lid for Skillets & 6.62 L Dutch Ovens — Silicone Knob, Oven-Safe

A clear, heavy-duty tempered glass lid with a silicone knob designed to fit Lodge 12-inch skillets and 7-quart Dutch ovens for easy food monitoring and moisture retention.

Upgrade your cast-iron cookware with a purpose-built cover that preserves heat and keeps splatters contained without hiding what’s cooking. This Lodge 12-inch tempered glass lid is a direct-fit accessory for 12" Lodge skillets and compatible 7-quart Dutch ovens. It combines durable, oven-safe glass with a heat-resistant silicone knob so you can check progress at a glance and manage temperature-sensitive recipes more confidently.

How does this lid help while braising, simmering, or searing?

The transparent tempered glass lets steam circulate and stay trapped over the pan, which helps food cook evenly and reduces the need to lift the lid. That containment keeps moisture in for tender results and limits messy splatters on stovetops. Use it to turn a skillet into a more versatile vessel without sacrificing the ability to watch browning and sauce development.

• Locks in steam to maintain even heat and moisture
• Tempered glass allows visual monitoring without releasing heat
• Reduces splatter for easier cleanup after high-heat searing
• Compatible with both skillets and 7-quart Dutch ovens for one-lid convenience

Is this lid oven-safe and how hot can it go?

The lid is built from tempered glass rated for use in the oven up to 400°F, making it suitable for roasting, slow-cooking, and finishing dishes under steady heat. The silicone knob withstands typical cooking temperatures and offers a safer grip than plain metal in moderate oven use. Avoid direct broiler exposure or sudden temperature shocks to preserve the glass integrity.

• Oven-safe glass up to 400°F
• Silicone knob resists heat for safer handling
• Not intended for broiler or thermal shock situations
• Good for finishing braises and oven-based simmering

Will this lid fit my cookware and serve as a replacement?

This Lodge round glass lid is sized for 12-inch Lodge skillets and compatible 7-quart Dutch ovens, making it a straightforward replacement or spare cover. It sits on the rim to create a snug seal that helps regulate temperature in the pan. Check your cookware diameter to confirm the 12-inch fit for best results.

• Designed for 12-inch Lodge skillets and pans
• Fits many 7-quart Lodge Dutch ovens as a compatible cover
• Works as a replacement lid for original or lost covers
• Sits securely on the pan rim to help maintain heat

How do I care for the glass lid and silicone knob?

Cleaning the lid is simple: hand wash or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher, avoiding strong detergents that could dull the glass over time. Allow the lid to cool before cleaning to prevent thermal stress. Inspect the silicone knob occasionally and tighten if needed to keep a secure handle.

• Top-rack dishwasher safe or hand wash with warm, soapy water
• Cool before washing to avoid temperature shock
• Wipe away baked-on food with a nonabrasive pad
• Periodically check and tighten the silicone knob
