Melnor AquaTimer 4-Zone Programmable Digital Timer — 4 Independent Zones, Rain-Delay, Battery-Powered

The Melnor AquaTimer™ 4-Zone Programmable Digital Timer lets you schedule four independent watering zones with flexible run times, manual override, and a rain-delay feature.

Manage multiple hoses, sprinklers, soaker lines or drip setups from a single faucet with straightforward programming and reliable digital control. The AquaTimer™ accommodates different needs for a lawn, flower beds, vegetable garden and patio irrigation, so each area receives the right frequency and duration without manual attention. Its clear display, simple buttons and rain delay save water and prevent overwatering while you’re at home or away.

How do I set different schedules for four zones?

Each of the four valves operates independently, so you can choose a unique watering frequency and run duration for every zone. Programming is done at the timer using the digital interface — no separate controllers or wiring required.

• Set frequency from every hour up to once per week for each valve
• Run times adjustable from 1 minute to 6 hours per zone
• Simple navigation buttons and a clear display for quick changes

What if I need to water manually or skip watering for bad weather?

The AquaTimer™ includes a manual mode so you can instantly run water for tasks like rinsing the deck or filling a bucket without reprogramming schedules. For wet weather, the rain delay pauses automatic cycles for up to seven days and automatically resumes when the delay ends.

• Manual watering option activates any valve on demand
• Rain delay feature suspends all zones for up to 7 days
• Automatic resume returns the system to programmed schedules after delay

How long will the timer run between battery changes and is it durable?

The unit requires two AA batteries (not included) to power the digital display and scheduling functions; typical battery life varies with usage but is designed for long-term operation. Melnor backs this timer with a 7-year limited warranty, reflecting durable construction for outdoor use.

• Powered by 2 x AA batteries — easy to replace
• Weather-ready housing suitable for outdoor faucet mounting
• 7-year limited warranty from Melnor for added confidence

Can the timer handle different irrigation types like sprinklers and soaker hoses?

Yes — the AquaTimer™ supports a mix of irrigation devices across its four zones, enabling tailored care for newly seeded lawns, perennial beds and vegetable plots. Each zone’s independent timing lets you match run time and frequency to the needs of sprinklers, drip tubing or soaker hoses.

• Compatible with sprinklers, soaker hoses, drip lines and other faucet-fed systems
• Run lengths up to six hours for slow-release irrigation like soaker hoses
• Short intervals (as little as 1 minute) for quick sprinkler requirements

Who this is for: The Melnor AquaTimer™ 4-Zone is built for homeowners, gardeners and property managers who need a single, easy-to-program solution to control multiple outdoor watering lines. It’s ideal for anyone wanting precise control over different landscape areas — from small urban yards with mixed plantings to larger properties with separate lawn and garden zones — and for people who value automated schedules, manual access and rain delays to conserve water and simplify maintenance.
