Melnor MiniMax Spike Sprinkler — 372 m² Coverage, Adjustable Width & Flow, 360° Aim

The Melnor MiniMax Spike Sprinkler is a compact oscillating sprinkler on a step spike that delivers adjustable, full-sized coverage for up to 4,000 sq. ft.

This small-but-powerful lawn sprinkler combines the range and control of larger oscillating models with a space-saving footprint, so you can water broad lawns, garden beds, and new seedings without moving a bulky unit. It includes multiple adjustments for width, range, and flow plus a 360° twist-top so you can precisely aim spray patterns. Built to handle gritty water and to connect quickly with other watering tools, the MiniMax aims to simplify routine irrigation while reducing wasted water.

How much area will this sprinkler actually cover?

The MiniMax is designed to reach up to 4,000 square feet when set to maximum spread, making it useful for medium-to-large lawns. Coverage varies with water pressure and how much you open the Zoom and flow controls, so you can scale from small garden plots to broad turf.

• Maximum coverage: up to 4,000 sq. ft. at higher water pressure
• Zoom control to narrow or widen the overall spray area
• Flow adjustment to fine-tune range and droplet size

What adjustments let me target specific areas?

You get four-way precision adjustments: width, range, flow, plus a 360° head rotation that redirects spray without relocating the unit. These controls let you water a narrow border one day and a broad lawn the next, all from the same compact sprinkler.

• Width control for narrow beds or wide passes
• Range control to limit how far water travels
• Flow control to conserve water or boost reach
• 360° top rotation to aim without moving the spike base

Will it handle gritty or well water without breaking down?

The MiniMax includes a Dirt-Resistant Drive that routes water around gears so the mechanism keeps operating even when small debris is present. That design reduces clogging and extends reliable performance in homes with well water or older hose supplies.

• Dirt-Resistant Drive bypasses grit to maintain motion
• Robust internal components resist wear from particles
• Durable metal step spike keeps the unit secure in soil

How easy is it to connect with other watering tools?

The Flo-Thru base lets you chain sprinklers together for broader coverage and the package includes a QuickConnect Starter Set for faster hookups. You can swap attachments quickly — even while water is running — by using the matching Product Adapters on your hoses, wands, and nozzles.

• Flo-Thru design enables linking multiple sprinklers for extended reach
• QuickConnect Starter Set included for fast on/off tool changes
• Compatible with Melnor Product Adapters for hot-swapping while running

Who is this for? Homeowners and gardeners who want the power of a full-size oscillating sprinkler in a compact, easy-to-position unit will appreciate the MiniMax. It’s a practical choice for medium to large lawns, new seedings, and vegetable or flower beds where targeted watering and simple setup matter. If you need flexibility in spray pattern, reliable operation with gritty water, and the option to link multiple sprinklers, this model gives those features in a durable, stake-mounted package backed by Melnor’s limited lifetime warranty.
