Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus outdoor security camera — White, 1080p HD & 2000-lumen motion lights

The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is a hardwired outdoor security camera with motion-activated 1080p HD video, 2000-lumen LED floodlights and an integrated siren for continuous property monitoring.

Designed for entrances, driveways and large outdoor areas, this wired Floodlight Cam combines bright motion lighting, two-way audio and high-definition video to deter intruders and record important events. It connects to your home Wi-Fi and integrates with the Ring app and Alexa-enabled devices, providing real-time alerts and remote viewing. The unit requires a hardwired power connection, making it well suited for locations where continuous power and reliable operation are priorities.

How does the Ring Floodlight Cam improve outdoor security?

The Floodlight Cam layers bright illumination, live video and audible deterrence to reduce blind spots and increase the chance of capturing actionable footage. Motion triggers the 2000-lumen LEDs and begins recording at 1080p, while the 85–105 dB siren and two-way talk give you direct control of the scene from your phone.

• 1080p HD video for clear identification of people and vehicles
• 2000-lumen motion-activated LEDs to light large areas instantly
• Built-in siren and two-way audio to deter or communicate with visitors
• Continuous wired power for uninterrupted monitoring

What features help reduce false alerts and focus on important events?

You can customize Motion Zones in the Ring app to prioritize the areas you care about, cutting down on alerts from busy streets or tree branches. Adjustable sensitivity and smart notifications help ensure you only get alerted when motion meets your configured criteria.

• Custom Motion Zones to target specific yard or driveway sections
• Adjustable motion sensitivity to filter minor activity
• Smart alerts (with Ring Protect) that classify activity for quicker review
• Schedule settings to align monitoring with your routine

How easy is installation and daily use for homeowners or small businesses?

Installation requires a hardwired electrical connection, which provides constant power and avoids battery maintenance. Once mounted and connected to Wi‑Fi, the Floodlight Cam is managed through the Ring app, where you can view live video, customize settings, and receive real-time notifications.

• Hardwired setup for nonstop power—professional installation recommended if unsure
• Wi‑Fi connectivity for live view, alerts, and cloud video (Ring Protect subscription sold separately)
• Integration with Alexa for voice alerts and Echo Show live view
• App-based controls for light, siren, two-way talk, and recording playback

What should I know about video storage, privacy, and compatibility?

The Floodlight Cam records locally to the cloud when paired with a Ring Protect plan, enabling timeline review and sharing of clips. Privacy controls and settings in the Ring app let you manage data access, and the device works with common smart-home ecosystems for convenient integration.

• Cloud video history and downloads available with Ring Protect subscription
• Privacy zones and sharing controls in the Ring app
• Works with Alexa devices for hands-free monitoring and announcements
• Regular firmware updates enhance features and security
