Sonos Era 100 wireless smart speaker — Black, compact stereo sound with Alexa and Trueplay

The Sonos Era 100 is a compact, Alexa‑enabled smart speaker that delivers finely tuned stereo sound, deeper bass, and versatile wireless and wired connectivity for any room.

Designed to upgrade everyday listening, the Era 100 combines next‑generation acoustics and faster processing in a small footprint. It streams over Wi‑Fi, pairs quickly with Bluetooth, and accepts a 3.5 mm line‑in so you can connect turntables or other devices. Trueplay tuning adapts the EQ to your room while hands‑free voice control keeps playback effortless.

How does the Era 100 improve sound in small spaces?

The Era 100 uses a dual‑tweeter layout and a larger midwoofer to create clear stereo separation and fuller low end than typical compact speakers. Its upgraded processor refines timing and detail so vocals and instruments remain distinct, even at higher volumes.

• Dual tweeters for improved stereo imaging and clarity.
• 25% larger midwoofer for richer bass without adding bulk.
• 47% faster processor for tighter transient response and detail.

What connectivity options are available for streaming or wired sources?

The speaker supports Wi‑Fi streaming from your music apps, Bluetooth pairing for phones and tablets, and a 3.5 mm line‑in via the Sonos Line‑In Adapter for analog sources. That combination makes the Era 100 flexible for both modern streaming and legacy gear.

• Native Wi‑Fi playback for high‑quality streaming services.
• One‑button Bluetooth pairing for quick local playback.
• 3.5 mm auxiliary input (Line‑In Adapter) to connect turntables or CD players.

How easy is setup and tuning with the Sonos app?

Setup is straightforward: plug in, connect your phone or tablet to Wi‑Fi, and follow the Sonos app prompts to add the speaker. Once connected, Trueplay tuning analyzes room acoustics and automatically adjusts the EQ so tracks sound balanced and natural.

• Fast on‑boarding through the Sonos app for both iOS and Android.
• Trueplay room tuning optimizes speaker EQ for the listening space.
• App control for grouping, stereo pairing, and multiroom management.

Can the Era 100 handle voice control and smart home tasks?

The Era 100 includes built‑in Alexa support for hands‑free control of music and compatible smart devices. Use voice commands for playback, volume, and smart home actions while preserving Sonos audio quality and multiroom capabilities.

• Built‑in Alexa for hands‑free voice playback and queries.
• Works with other Sonos speakers in multiroom setups.
• Privacy features and microphone controls accessible in the app.
