Stohlquist Kids Life Jacket 22.7–40.8 kg — USCG Type III Youth PFD with PVC-Free Foam and 3-Buckle Adjustable Fit

Stohlquist's Kids Life Jacket for 50–90 lbs is a US Coast Guard Type III youth PFD that delivers lightweight, PVC-free flotation with an adjustable, three-buckle front for secure, active wear on boats, kayaks, and personal watercraft.

Designed for growing kids and teens who spend time on lakes, rivers, or at the beach, this life jacket balances flotation, mobility, and comfort. Built from lightweight polyethylene foam and durable 200D nylon, the vest gives reliable buoyancy without bulk, dries quickly, and resists wear. Sculpted foam panels and a thin back improve range of motion so children can paddle, swim, and climb into boats without feeling restricted.

How does this life jacket keep kids safe while staying comfortable?

The Stohlquist youth PFD uses proven buoyant foam shaped to stabilize and support active youngsters without forcing an upright float position that can impede movement. The three quick-release front buckles plus adjustable straps ensure a snug fit so the vest won’t ride up when in the water. Materials are selected to be both strong and soft against the skin to minimize chafing during long outings.

• USCG Type III approval for dependable flotation
• Lightweight polyethylene foam for 14 lbs buoyancy
• Three-buckle front-entry with adjustable straps for secure fit
• Sculpted foam panels and low-profile back for freedom of motion

Will this jacket fit my child as they grow and for different activities?

The vest is designed specifically for children weighing 50–90 pounds, offering a range that covers most kids, juniors, and petite teens. The adjustable buckles and straps let you fine-tune the fit for changing body shapes and extra layers like wetsuits. Its active design works for paddling, boating, jet-skiing, and casual swimming—where unrestricted arm movement and a low back are beneficial.

• Fit range: 50–90 lbs suitable for big kids and teens
• Adjustable three-buckle system to customize tension
• Thin back panel reduces seat interference for paddling
• Unisex cut works for boys and girls

What materials and care features make this a long-lasting PFD?

This life jacket uses 100% PVC-free polyethylene foam for buoyancy, paired with a durable 200D nylon shell that sheds water and dries quickly. The construction resists fading and abrasion from regular use while remaining light enough for kids to wear all day. Simple rinse-and-air-dry care keeps the vest in service season after season.

• PVC-free polyethylene foam — lighter and more environmentally conscious
• 200D nylon outer resists wear and dries fast
• Soft foam edges to reduce chafing during extended wear
• Easy maintenance: rinse with fresh water and air dry

Is this life jacket approved and suitable for water sports?

Yes—the Stohlquist kids PFD meets US Coast Guard Type III standards, making it appropriate for recreational boating, paddling, and many personal watercraft activities. The vest’s mobility-focused design is especially well suited to active sports like kayaking and jet-skiing where unrestricted arm movement and a secure fit are essential. Always pair the PFD with proper supervision and activity-appropriate precautions.

• USCG Type III certified for recreational flotation
• Designed for paddling, boating, and personal watercraft
