Updated 2 October 2026.

Bloom Nutrition is a US brand known for flavoured greens powders and, more recently, canned drinks. Most people searching for it in the UK want one of two things: the Bloom Sparkling Energy cans, or the newer Bloom Pop sodas. Since January 2026 some Bloom powders have been sold in UK shops, but the US-format energy cans and Bloom Pop remain hard to find here. This guide covers what each drink contains, how much caffeine is in a can, and what UK rules say about high-caffeine drinks.

Bloom Sparkling Energy

This is Bloom's energy drink: a lightly sparkling, zero-sugar drink in a 355 ml (12 fl oz) can with 180 mg of caffeine from green coffee bean. That is a strong drink. It is more than twice the 80 mg the NHS uses as its example for a 250 ml can of energy drink.

Bloom Pop: the caffeine-free soda

Bloom Pop is a fizzy soda rather than an energy drink. It contains no caffeine. Bloom says each can has about 20 calories and 4 g of sugar or less, and the cans are labelled as a prebiotic soda in the US. Under UK rules, words like "prebiotic" and "gut health" are not authorised health claims, so we describe what is in the can rather than what it might do.

We stock eight Bloom Pop flavours in total, all in 12-packs of 355 ml cans.

Caffeine and UK labelling: what to know

Under UK food labelling law, a drink other than tea or coffee that contains more than 150 mg of caffeine per litre must carry the statement "High caffeine content. Not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women", together with the caffeine content per 100 ml. Bloom Sparkling Energy has about 510 mg per litre and the Minis about 450 mg per litre, so both fall into this group. Bloom Pop does not.

Three practical points:

  1. Pregnancy. The NHS says you should not have more than 200 mg of caffeine a day when pregnant. One full-size Bloom Sparkling Energy can is 180 mg on its own.
  2. Children. High-caffeine drinks are not recommended for children. The government has also confirmed that selling high-caffeine energy drinks to under-16s in England will be banned from April 2027, including online sales.
  3. Add it up. Coffee, tea, cola and pre-workout powders all contain caffeine too, so count your whole day, not just the can.

The powders

We also stock most of Bloom's powders. The Greens & Superfoods powder (Original, 30 servings) is a flavoured drink mix made with powdered greens, fruit and vegetables. Bloom Creatine Monohydrate (unflavoured, 40 servings) is plain micronised creatine that you can stir into water or another drink. We also stock Bloom clear whey protein, colostrum and pre-workout powders. The pre-workout contains caffeine, so the advice above applies to it as well.

Some Bloom powders are now sold in UK shops in UK versions, and these can differ from the US recipe. For example, the UK pre-workout launched with 150 mg of caffeine per serving. What we stock are the US versions, so read the label for the exact figures.

How we chose what to stock

We started with the products UK shoppers search for by name: Bloom Pop and the Sparkling Energy cans. We then added the powders that sit alongside them. Our listings show sizes in millilitres and grams, and the US packs also print fluid ounces (12 fl oz is 355 ml; 7.5 fl oz is 222 ml).

UK alternatives

UK supermarkets sell plenty of sugar-free energy drinks, and many give the caffeine per 100 ml on the front of the can, which makes comparison easy. Look for that figure and the high-caffeine statement. For a soda without caffeine, several UK and European brands make low-sugar fizzy drinks with added fibre. They will not taste like Bloom Pop, but they fill the same gap in the fridge. If you want the Bloom flavours themselves, the full range is in our Bloom Nutrition UK collection. More brands that are hard to find in UK shops are on our Hard-to-Find Brands in the UK page.
