CLOROX Pool&Spa algaecide and clarifier for swimming pools, 3.79 L — treats and prevents green, mustard & black algae

CLOROX Pool&Spa Swimming Pool Algaecide and Clarifier is a concentrated, non-foaming formula that both treats existing algae and helps prevent future growth to restore clear pool water.

Keep your pool blue and swim-ready with this 128 fl oz bottle designed to tackle green, mustard, and black algae while clarifying cloudy water. Formulated for broad compatibility, the product works in traditional chlorine pools and saltwater systems alike. It combines algae control and a clarifier action in one treatment to reduce maintenance steps and help your filtration system work more efficiently.

How quickly does it clear algae and cloudy water?

Results vary with severity, but many pool owners see visible improvement within 24–48 hours for light algae and clearer water as particles are bound for easier filtration. Heavier infestations or black algae may require repeat or follow-up treatments and brushing to remove stubborn growth.

How do I apply it safely and effectively?

For best dispersion, add product to the deepest part of the pool while the pump and filter are running. Measure dosage according to pool volume, and avoid adding near swimmers or pool equipment intakes; always follow label instructions and allow adequate circulation time.

• Apply to deepest end with filtration running for even distribution
• Brush affected surfaces for better contact on heavy blooms
• Wait recommended circulation time before re-entering the pool

Will it work in my saltwater or vinyl-lined pool?

Yes — this formula is designed to be compatible with most pool types, including vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, and saltwater systems. It won’t create foam and is made to integrate smoothly with standard pool care routines.

• Safe for saltwater pools and common liner materials
• Non-foaming for low-maintenance use
• Integrates with regular chlorination and filtration

What additional tools help get the best result?

Combine treatment with mechanical removal and testing to speed recovery: brush algae-covered areas, vacuum debris, and maintain proper sanitizer and pH levels. The Clorox Pool App can guide you through testing and dosing to optimize results for your pool size and condition.

• Brush and vacuum after treatment for stubborn algae removal
• Use pool test kits or the Clorox Pool App for accurate dosing
• Ensure filter run-time is sufficient to capture clarified particles
